At times social media, together with some motivational speakers & prosperity preachers will leave you thinking that the wealthy have a monopoly on happiness,& you can’t be happy just because you don’t own a car. Yes, material things bring comfort& convenience,& we all want comfort & convenience, but we can still be happy without it because happiness is from within.
Yes, it is good to strive to make it in life, but before you make it don’t beat yourself up & put yourself under unnecessary pressure. Don’t turn your life into a lifelong funeral of mourning for why zvirikuramba.No one should tell you that you are not trying hard enough.
Yes, we all know that in Zimbabwe most people who have made it one way or the other feel it’s their duty to discourage those struggling by disguising their cruel bragging as testimonies.
Remember that what people posts on social media are highlights. At times the most boring movies have the best highlight trailers.
